 9. Lamnammoonlek Or.Atchariya

Muay Thai Tips - Lamnammoonlek Or.Atchariya

Lamnamoonlek Or.Atchariya finished his year 2019 with a record of 9 matches, 6 wins and 3 loses. Many might be confused as to why a fighter with 3 loses is included in this list, but here are some of the reasons why.

Lamnammoonlek fought four fights against Mongkolkaew Sor.Sommai, two of which he won and two he lost, nevertheless Mongkolkaew is regarded as a high level opponent in his weight class and his two wins against him were surely significant. His other loss came against Kiewpayak Jitmuangnon, this is a fighter who ended 2019 undefeated and was named the 2019 Sports Authority of Thailand Fighter of the year. His remaining fights were wins against some highly talented fighters such as Yodkritsada YutChonburi who was Rajadamnern Featherweight Champion at the time, Yodtongthai Sor.Sommai and he became the Onesongchai Super-Featherweight champion after beating Chorfah Tor.Sangtiennoi at the Thupatemi Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium in September.

8. Kumandoi Phetcharoenwit

Muay Thai Tips - Kumandoi Phetcharoenwit

Kumandoi Phetcharoenwit ended his 2019 with a record of 9 fights, 8 wins and 1 loss. He faced opponents such as Puenkon Tor.Surat (2016 Sports Authority of Thailand & Siam Kela Fighter of the year) three times, Diesellek Wor.Wanchai twice, Hercules Petchsimuen (Former Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Champion), Petchsuphan SongponKNC (current Rajadamnern Super-Flyweight champion), Kongmuangtrang Kaewsamrit and Pornpitak SorTor.TanomsiBangpu. He won all of his fights except for one, he lost only one fight against Puenkon out of the three they had in 2019.

7. Rodtang Jitmuangnon

Muay Thai Tips Rodtang Jitmuangnon

Rodtang Jitmuangnon would have been higher on this, one can argue that the caliber of his opponents wasn’t on par with others on this list. Nevertheless, in 2019 he became the face of Muay Thai on ONE Championship by beating the likes of Jonathan Haggerty twice, Walter Goncalves, Sok Thy (also known as Kaka Paeminburi), Hakim Hamech and Fahdi Khaled. He also had three fights on the Thai circuit where he beat “the man who yields to no one” Seksan Or.Kwanmuang twice and he earned himself a victory against Chorfah Tor.Sangtiennoi.

In 2019, he was crowned ONE Championship Muay Thai Flyweight world champion and he also earned the 2019 Rajadamnern Stadium fight of the year award for his war against Seksan Or.Kwanmuang.

6. Petchsamarn Sor.SamarnGarment

Muay Thai Tips Petchsamarn Sor.SamarnGarment

2019 was a great year for Petchsamarn. If you would have asked me whether Petchsamarn would amount to anything two years ago, I would probably laugh in your face. But of all a sudden, he built a phenomenal winning streak of up to 19 fights. During this winning streak in 2019, he had wins against former Lumpinee and Channel 7 stadium champion Kompetch Sitsarawatseur, 2016 Poonsua tournament champion Saifon Rattanapanu, Fahpennueng Por.Lakboon, Chokdee Nuikafeboran and more.

His winning streak came to an end after his decision loss to Prajanchay PKsaenchaimuaythaigym in December. In 2019, he built a fight record of 10 fights, 9 wins and 1 loss.

5. Superlek Kiatmoo9

Superlek Kiatmoo9 should be delighted with his performance in 2019. The hard and fast kicking orthodox fighter was signed for ONE Championship and has beaten many elite fighters on the Thai Circuit. He earned victories against Cambodia’s Lao Chetra and Portugal’s Rui Botelho on ONE Championship.

On the Thai circuit he defeated fighters such as Rungkit Wor.Sangprapai (twice), Rungkhao Wor.Sangprapai, Suakim Sit-SorTor.Taew, and Superball Tded99. He also had a draw against Kaona SorJor.TongPrachin in Buriram province, however, many fans thought that the victory should have been given to Superlek. His only loss was against Rungkhao Wor.Sangprapai at Rajadamnern Stadium.

4. Saoto Sidchefboontham

Muay Thai Tips Saoto Sidchefboontham

The current Rajadamnern Stadium Bantamweight champion, Saoto Sidchefboontham. At one point, everyone praised his twin brother SaoEk Sidchefbootham for being such a phenomenal Muay Thai fighter, however, things have changed dramatically.

As SaoEk’s form dropped, Saoto started catching the eyes of many Muay Thai fans all across Thailand. In 2019, he earned himself a 100% win record and beat fighters such as Kongsak Sor.Satra for the Rajadamnern Bantamweight title, Nongyot Sitjaykarn, Diesellek Wor.Wanchai, Petchbankaek Sor.Sommai and others. His success in 2019 saw him recognized as the Rajadamnern Stadium Fighter of the Year.

Muay Thai Tips Sanmanee SangmaneeSathianMuayThaiGym

What a year 2019 was for Sangmanee. After his knockout loss to Tawanchai PKsaenchaimuaythaigym in March, he has looked unstoppable. Sangmanee Boasts wins against Rafi Singpatong, Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon, Yodlekphet Or.Atchariya, Chujaroen Dabransarakham and even avenged his loss against Tawanchai earlier in June. Sangmanee has also fought in 3 round Muay Thai competition where he collected wins against Japan’s Kenta Yamada and France’s Azize Hlali on ONE Championship, and also earned himself a TKO victory against Victor Conesa from Spain on Top King World Series.

Muay Thai Tips Kiewpayak Jitmuangnon

Don’t you mean Panpayak Jitmuangnon? The three time Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the year award winner. No, Panpayak’s younger brother, Kiewpayak Jitmuangnon has proven to be an excellent technical fighter and has used his technical masterclass to go unbeaten in 2019.

He earned victories against former Rajadamnern stadium champion Kongtoranee Sor.Sommai, Chalam Parunchai, Kompatak SinbiMuayThai, Lamammoonlek Or.Atchariya and Suriyanlek OrBorTor.Kampee. He received a much more prestigious award.

He was named the 2019 Sports Authority of Thailand Fighter of the year, an award many greats have won, including Tongchai Tor.Silachai, Namsaknoi, Saenchai, Singdam, Nong-O, and more!
